What is your book about?
The Last Laugh is about four people who are going through various situations and their aim is to find solutions to their problems and live a “free-conscious” life. But they find themselves compromising their principles and end up making decisions that will haunt them for life.
The Coloured Vine is the story about identity and parenthood. Its about the young man looking forward to connect with his father while trying to make it in life as a mixed race young man.
What inspired you to write?
My inspiration is usually drawn from conversations I have had with my family or friends or what I read. My two books were born from simple and unexpected conversations I have had in the past.
What does this book mean to you?
My books mean a lot to me because these were once my private thoughts that I decided to put on paper so that other people can read them.
What was the writing process like?
My writing process is usually uncertain and much disorganized. It starts from a note book and then moves to a laptop. The first script is usually a mess and I wouldn’t love anyone to read it.
Writing for me is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I couldn’t ask for a better gift.
The Coloured Vine and The Last Laugh are both available in our bookstore.
